Newbie to this so any help appreciated. I have used all my storage on my iphone 5 (16gb). I've backed up my photos to EHD and made a shared album (with myself). How can I bulk delete (700+ pix/videos) and then put back on the iphone those I really want to carry with me?

Posted this on another forum but got no responses.

Sorry if this is simplistic and I just don't get it.
Have a great weekend. Thank you.

Aloha! Welcome to the forum, I'm sorry that people didn't get back to you on the other forum (hey, you can't beat an awesome community like ours!) we'll try to help.

First up, and this is me being plain old stupid, whats EHD?

Secondly, when you make a shared album and subscribe I believe that it takes up memory on your iPhone - this might not be the case now, but I'm sure it was when the whole photo stream embargo began. (iOS 7 BETAs)

Regarding your last question, because I don't have the answers to my aforementioned question; I'll tell you how I do what you want to accomplish.

I upload my photos from my iPhone/iPad to Bitcasa (or other cloud service such as Dropbox) via the app. I then remove them from my iPhone (STILL NO BULK DELETES, SORRY!) and go back to the cloud app and re-download the ones I want to my camera roll.

I'm guessing it stands for external hard drive?

Yep, I've got a bunch of shared albums and they still take up space:

However, I don't think videos do, since I've got a few videos in the albums and when I go back to them after a while they need to load again.

Thanks, and sorry 1. EHD (external hard drive). 2. not responding until now; been out of it for a while! :(

Thanks for the suggestions. I can do this! Just sorry about the no bulk delete option.

Thanks again.

There is a bulk delete option... sort of. If you connect your iPhone to your Mac with a USB cable and prevent iTunes from launching and instead launch Image Capture... You can pick everything on the phone either by date or by file size and transfer it to any arbitrary folder on your Mac making sure to check "delete after transfer".
