La La Land
Now that college is out, I've been experimenting with tribal signatures and whatnot, thought I'd post what I made. These are simple designs with small textures added on too them, I'm working on a simple layout at the moment too. I've also taken another shot at the logo I was working on a while ago.

Logo:

  1. Concept.EphemeralSTYLE by ~FledMorphine on deviantART
  2. http://fledmorphine.deviantart.com/art/Concept2-EphemeralSTYLE-105238928
  3. Concept3.EphemeralSTYLE by ~FledMorphine on deviantART
I seriously wish I had my website or some money to get one so the logos would come of somewhat use.

Designs:

I dont think anything here is too impressive to works I wish I could do, but hopefully its a start.

ummm get one what? get a website? You can buy a domain for 5 bucks or 10. You can get a free website through many different things on google... you dont' really need money for it... :)

One word of advice: Lose the contour and bezel effects, and anything corny you can create with a filter/blending effect.

Well, I see talent, though you are still finding your aesthetic and working on feeling out the process of art within "design," which means art with taste and commercial motivation. At this point you have a few sophomoric (art school sophomoric, at least!) logo concepts that fail at communicating anything, unfortunately...

But on the bright side, and I'm going out on a bit of a limb here, you may have an almost immediately marketable chance at selling tattoo flash. I actually don't know how said industry works, other than that tattoo art (called flash for some reason) is sold somewhat similarly to high-end stock art is sold to designers. Just put it in a flashy portfolio (the one scenario where tasteful restraint is NOT necessary!) and walk around to different tattoo shops to ask if they'd like to purchase or license your artwork. Or ask a tattoo artist how their shop purchases flash, being honest that you like to make unique tribal designs and can illustrate in vector for any size piece.

And keep working, you don't need a website until you have an actual portfolio. Stop working on your company identity, and get some pretend-clients and/or take classes if you aren't already; it gives your mind constraints and deadlines which are the best at really bringing out creativity.

If you don't have money for a portfolio site, why don't you start a blog, like blogspot?

A lot of people are using blogs as quasi-portfolios these days. I put all my current design & photo projects on mine. It also works nicely as an archive/timeline of your work.
