Freeware games, FPS!! what are the best to get?

hello everyone, i am new to this site i joined about 5 minutes ago!

but the first thing i wanted to ask was, what are the best free first person shooters for the mac? I understand mac doesn't have such a big range of downloadable games compared to PC's but i really want a decent multiplayer FPS!

i am not new to mac/apple i have at least 12 apple products in my house (shared between 3 of us), from 30" screen and mac pro, apple TV, IPhone x2, IPod touch, IPod classic x2, IPod Nano, Mac mini, 24" IMac, 2 mac laptops(can't remember precisely what they are called) so i'm not new to mac's i know some stuff. I just can't find a good FPS for mac that is free, online and good! some help please!!!

Even if its not a FPS, just some thoughts on whats good to get, any sort of game, what do you have on your mac?

urbanterror is pretty good. it's essentially a counterstrike clone, with a fairly large online community. it doesn't however have any single-player. assault cube has single player, but feels a lot more basic for weapons and gameplay, and i wouldn't recommend it.

Quake Live is pretty good, online, and free.

I can think of Quake Live and Wolfenstein Enemy Territory.

America's Army used to be but I believe they stopped developing the Mac version.

Nexuiz, a UT-like game, and Tremulous, a Quake 3 based aliens-vs-humans team-based game, are two great ones, and I still play Tremulous even though I own a bunch of other FPS's.
