i have issue when I turn my Mac on and log in to my profile. Whenever I click on anything I get the spinning beach ball. No matter what I do it freezes up. I can't force quit anything and it also does this in safe mode. I haven't installed anything new since this has started and I have completely wiped my computer before because of this and it works fine for 2 weeks and starts back doing the same thing. Does anybody know what I have to do to get this to work. Also it does this on the new update as well.

It sounds like a hardware problem. Most likely cause--your hard drive is failing. I recommend that you get an external drive and install an OS on it. See if the machine operates normally.

What Mac do you have? Year, model, specs...

If you manage to get access to the operating system, either the internal OS or an external one as suggested by chabig, you can verify the HDD health by downloading SMART Utility: https://cloudfront.volitans-software.com/smartutility322.zip

Anything other than Passed/OK would indicate a drive failure.

If the drive is OK and you have a 2010-2012 classic (with a DVD drive) MacBook Pro, the issue is likely the HDD cable.
