I'm curious which language settings are available on the ipad when you plug in an external keyboard. I write primarily in french. I assume that when I type on the Ipad, I have to hold the letter key for the accents to show up. What happens if I plug in an external keypad. Will the accents be where they normally are? for this to be useable for me, this is a really important details... also, can I use an french keyboard on an english Ipad....

hope this is clear...

Merci... thank you.

The French keyboard (and other language versions too) is offered as an option when accessorising your iPad at the online Apple Store, so it must be compatible.

Il n'y a pas de quoi.

Here's a screenshot of the iPad.
