Hello,
I have a new MacBook Air for work when I travel and an iMac at home.
All of my important data is in email folders and I've tried every way under the sun to make it so that what I do on my Mac is copied to my Air and visa versa - all to no avail. (tried using Mobile Me, but sometimes sent emails slipped through the cracks - tried running gmail through my mac mail, but the same thing happened - I MUST have a PERFECT mirror image of all of my email files and activity on both computers.
I do not want to run my business from gmail (that would be a simple solution but I like the iMail user interface).
So, if there was an easy way that I could transfer data after working on one computer to another I'm all over it.
I've considered: 1) Migration Assistant, and 2) using an external USB to transfer the data. I'm not very computer literate but once I learn how to do something I could repeat it. Which way would be the easiest to learn (or is there an easier way)
I only need my email files and folders to transfer. If I could figure this out I could use my Mac at home, transfer everything to the Air when I'm heading out for a show (I'm on the road one week a month), then transfer everything back over to the Mac when I got home again.
Thanks in advance for your advice/input...
Regards,
