MacBook Air M1, 8:256, Sonoma 14.2.1, Chrome 120.0.6099.216. Chrome just offered me an update which isn't installed yet.
I've used Chrome as my browser for about 18 months because Safari gave me lots of issues.
Over the last several weeks, Chrome has locked up 8 or 10 times a day giving me the ??Beach Ball?? and allowing nothing to be done in Chrome. Activity monitor confirm 100% usage by Chrome. I can "force quit", and have, reporting the failure perhaps 25 or more times. There was a recent Chrome update and the issue went away for several days, only to return.
I've always been reading or composing email in the att.net (yahoo.com) webmail app when it occurs.
I've been around computers a while, cutting my teeth on 8080/8085 assembler, CP/M, DOS, OS2, and Windows. My family other than me are Apple people, and I took their recommendations and bought this M1 MBA new about 2 years ago. This is the first recurring issue I've had.
How do I troubleshoot this?
