Hello-
Using a 30gb 5.5g ipod on windows, suddenly one day the ipod locked, so I reset it, and when I plugged it in, it gave me the error that it was in recovery mode, and would have to be restored.
Unfortunately at work, my PC won't connect to the iTunes update servers (stupid IT restriction) to get the ipod software so it can't do the restore, so i used a PC that isn't behind our firewall that we use to test things, and it restored just fine, and everything was good.
I came back to my desk and plugged it into the original machine that said it was in recovery mode and needed to be restored, plugged it in, and it gave me the same error?!
WTF? How do I fix this?
