Fried iPhone 3GS

So my charger fried my iPhone. The charger has a burnt spot on it and the phone smells like it has been fried. Does anyone know if by taking it to the apple store that I will receive another one?

is to make a appointment. I would take the charger as well check the water indicators. as long as they are white I think you should be fine. one is on top inside the headphone jack another on the bottom near the charger use a flashlight to look. if they are red or pink then it will be $199 but taking it in or contacting Apple support is the only way to be a 100%

Then you are SOL. $199 to replace the iPhone 3GS.

I assume it got tripped because of the water on the charger
