I am looking to make a website for Wales, UK than enables users to keep in touch with local friends, make new friends and find old ones.

It will also give things like local news and weather as RSS or similar streams.

Do you think this is a good idea?
What do you think of it?

if it works well i plan on doing the same for England and Scotland, will do Wales first because it is small and local.

** DO NOT STEAL MY IDEA! **
** I WILL HUNT YOU DOWN **

It's a nice idea, but with the likes of www.friendsreunited.co.uk - www.faceparty.com & www.hotornot.com just to mention a couple, I don't see why you'd want to go to all the hassel yourself, unless you want to make it in Welsh.

I have to agree with ecksmen that it's already been done.

But a Welsh equivalent would be a great idea! I live in Wales (UK) too; I don't speak fluent Welsh, but I have friends who do, and I think this would go down well.

Good luck to you in whatever you decide! :)
