My friend is looking to purchase an iMac and I had some questions about it. One is that is it a good value when you look at the screen it comes with and the hardware? Also I heard that apple has a policy where all repairs are 300 dollars or something to that effect. How does that work?
Thanks guys

It is a good value, and no its not 300.00 per repair you pay about 160.00 I think for the apple care and its covered for an extra 2 years on top of the one that comes standard. I wouldnt purchase an apple computer without it....Oh and you can get them off ebay for cheaper than the apple store....God I love this 27in Imac

I ment if you didnt have applecare lets say. I heard that instead of it being sideways 8 dollars for a new board its only 300.

Also when you look on eBay do you make sure you get box with it?

Thanks for your info

As hellhammer said it is the most secure way ....either way the best thing or should I say the only way to make sure is to check the feedback.

Alright thanks! I thought apple had a new all repairs policy where it made everything had a ceiling price of 300 dollars.
