Is it possible? I'd like to buy the highest processor upgrade for my PB G4 17". No chance of it going over 1GHz, maybe 1.67GHz?

Also, is there any website w/ free instructions on how to install a processor?

Thanks guys!!!

there are upgrades for the 1ghz 17" powerbook, but not to 1.67ghz. You are limited to a 1.4ghz upgrade, and the only company that makes them, I believe is Daystar Tech. I think it is also around 400 dollars for the upgrade, but you can't do it yourself and must send it in.

Hmm... I may just trade it for a 14" iBook G4.

I'd never trade even the 1st generation 17" PowerBook for an iBook. I cant imagine myself working on a 1024x768 display. Plus, I find aluminium case to be much more beautiful, and its also scratch-resistant.
