iPod From I tunes to i touch issues

For the 1st time I have tried to download a game from Apple for my I touch via I Tunes. I have it in my HD but how do I install that into my I Touch? I have tried the normal methods, dragging and that but can't. Is there a way to do this things. I have tried to search for an answer but didn't seem to ask the right way to get an answer so can anyone help?

Thanks Old wiz... I had a bit more of a read after my post and in there it says to connect my Itouch(did that) and go to my application tab on my I Touch... There was no Application tab I could see. I am quite fluent when it comes to equipment like this so i can't understand why I can't work this out.
