I had my iPhone 5 that got broken and I went to get a new phone. I got an X and I was like... what ever. It was big, super expensive but I liked the camera.

Last night I needed a phone number and I grabbed my 5 again and wow!!!! it is so light!!!! so much technology in such small form. If the 5 had the camera of the X I would be all set. I may return the X today, I still in time to do it. Bulky, heavy buah.

From a form factor perspective, Steve Jobs had it right that 4” is the biggest size that’s still comfortable. I’d totally consider a smaller iPhone with the X design.

I feel the same about the X. Holding my old 6 is just like, wow, this thing is so small, light, and thin. I think going bigger than the 6 size is the threshold for something feeling too bulky. Not giving up the X though. Camera is amazing and so is the speed. Though my 6 still has the original battery, so maybe if I got that replaced...

The problem is that the SE isn’t a viable replacement for enthusiasts that want the best technology. I’d be totally happy with a smaller iPhone, and maybe that’ll push me to buy an iPad again. I was expecting iPhone X to feel more comfortable after using Plus models for the past few years since it’s smaller overall but the elongated design has caused me some strain.

Iv Jumped on the latest Apple flagship device every year for as long as I can remember but this was the first time I wasn’t even tempted. If it wasn’t for the X I’d probably of grabbed the 8 but I just can’t get past paying flagship prices for a non flagship phone. The X on the other hand is just too expensive and I’m not quite ready to ditch Touch ID. Also I just can’t get past that notch in the screen. Not sure what caused it, I just though “sod it, I’ll stick with my 7 plus”.

Eh, I can't really get used to the small screen anymore. I remember going from a Galaxy S3 to an iPhone 5 and it was still fine back then. Now that I've had a Plus sized phone for ~1.75 years, I can't go back anymore.

Same…

I own two iPhone 5's (5, not 5s) and a 4s. I could never go back to using them as a primary phone although I do use one of the 5's as a secondary phone (additional to my 6s+).

Once I got my 6+ in Feb. 2015 i adjusted to the size in less than 5 minutes and I just can't go back.

It’s the glass that makes it heavy. Just go back to the 5 and wait for the SE 2. The camera won’t be X-caliber (pun) but close enough where you’d have everything you want in a phone.

My neighbor has a 6 and so picking that up is holy-moly compared to my X. Weight difference is staggering.

I can relate. Before I got my iPhone X, I had an iPhone 5 too. I had the 5 for like four months, and prior to that I had the iPhone 4. But after using the X for a couple days, then going back to my 5, it felt super weird, since it was really light. Don't worry you will get use to the weight of the phone pretty quickly. Not worth returning just cause its big, bulky, and heavy.

I’m happy to report that the solution is waiting - just get the SE (or wait till march, there is growing speculation that it’ll be updated then).

The iPad air 2 was sold for 3years. Still is on the refurbished section on Apple's site. The SE will probably be the same, 3 years. So that means it isn't going to get updated till 2019.

In March of last year, I took my IP7 and my IP5s (original) to New Zealand, mainly because the 5 was unlocked and I was able to pop a local sim card in it to be come a "local" boy. Loved the size of the 5, but it was very slow compared to my 7. I was running my 7 either will local wifi or hotspotting from me 5. Last Sept I seriously thought of going back to the new IP5E, but I didn't. I may get the new 5 when it debuts later this year.

I love that form factor – I think the iPhone SE is crest of a long evolution; hopefully it continues a little longer.

Even if there were a smaller iPhone X in the future, I really love the clean extruded design and the perfectly rectangular screen and it would be difficult to lose either after having spent so many years waiting for such a performant device with both.

The problem with the 5 is the screen is really poor for web browsing, email, etc. I used one today as well and to me it reminded me of the outdated 7" SVGA navigation in my three year old car. Plus it is so slow. I hated it. But I agree the size and light weight is very nice. Imagine a 5 with a high pixel density edge to edge display and the same chip as the X. That would be a killer phone.

My personal beef with modern iPhones is less about their size and more about their weight. When are they going to make iPhones with lighter materials?
