"So, windknown has contacted me, about a half hour ago, via e-mail. He has told me one of the issues that is keeping Substrate from working on the device, which will probably require me to build a little binary patch for dyld as part of the Substrate installation sequence. This was the worst possible day for me, as I'm traveling back to Santa Barbara today (I'm currently in Texas, having come here to give a talk at The Big Android BBQ), which means this will take me a little longer than I'd like, but clearly getting Cydia and Substrate working on iOS 8 is my highest priority. I thankfully think that I actually can start working a little on one of the Substrate issues using an iOS 7 "model" based on the information provided by windknown, which means I'll lose less time to not having all of my devices with me. (I currently have no clue why Cydia itself is not functioning, but will find out later today when I can see it myself.)"

shouldn't be long.

Excellent info. My j/b donations are ready to be processed once everything is released.

Good news, so do you have an idea how long will take to incorporate Cydia into the Tool??, the hard part is done, I assume :p

As said above, Cydia and Mobilesubstrate both need to be updated. Saurik sure is a wizard, but it still takes time. The Pangu jailbreak has also been pulled due to a few bugs. Furthermore, tweaks will need to be updated.

Now that the A4 family isn't supported on iOS 8, there are no more tethered jailbreaks for life, meaning that tweak makers won't get their hands on any sort of JB until we do. It'll be a little bit until we have a fully functional stable JB, let alone with any tweaks.

Still, this was exceptionally quick - very impressive.

I'm sure saurik gets it done asap, as always. i always wait a good week anyways before doing jailbreaks now...

patience, ios8 tweaks will take a bit anyways, whats the rush. lets just be happy there is one and devs are working on their tweaks.
