Hi guys

I'm getting a Macbook in a couple of weeks and I've got a quick query regarding Front Row.

Basically I'd like to configure the laptop to span onto my HDTV which is easy enough (although I'll need something to create the appropriate resolution as I understand it as the mac doesn't natively support the output res).

Anyway, what I'd like to do is have the output (usually video/DVD) piped to the TV. The interface doesn't matter so much - laptop screen or TV are fine.

Based on my slightly out of date knowlege of OSX I have two options:

1) Mirror display (Doable, but rather not)
2) Span display but set TV as primary (again, doable, but would prefer not to)

Is there a third option?

Oh, and 'buy an :apple: TV' isn't what I'm looking for :)

i don't think there's a third way, not that i know off. when you mirror displays, you can still what resolution the tv will run at so i don't see whats the problem? :D
