Front Row problems with Alu iMac 2.4

Seems like every time I launch a movie in Front Row, the screen dims to black about every 10 seconds or so and then comes back, like a 'throb'. I've tried several different movies and have had the same result.

Has anybody else had this problem or can confirm this?

I should probably also note DVD Player and iTunes works fine.

I haven't had that problem, but one option is to downgrade to an earlier (Tiger) front row, which might be more stable. All you have to do is replace a couple of files.

I had a similar problem and read that if you turn off the screensaver option (the only option there is) it will then work fine, at least it did for me.

You mean it is a Front Row option, correct? Not a System Preference?

Yes, it is an option in front row to disable the screen saver while front row is running.

Disabling screen saver resolved my strange issues in Front Row.
