Hi There,

I was surfing on my Gf mac book and suddenly it froze. Nothing works, not a single key command and not a single noise being made by the laptop. Im afraid to do a hard reset as she was doing a school assignment on it, and Im not sure if it was saved. Also she had the internet browser on working on her blog, and i know that work isnt saved either because was wasnt finished writing it. If i do a hard reset ( hold the power button down ) is she going to lose all of her stuff..... any advice greatly appreciated!!!!

Anything i can do to save her work?
she will kill me..... man o man.

Any advice from the pros is greatly appreciated.

Hard to say... it depends on the app she was using and if it autosaves. At this point you don't have much choice if it is locked up hard.

Give it a go, then try a command-r boot to recovery after and use Disk Utility from there to run a repair disk on the drive and see what you find.
