I have been trying to figure out what the correct part number is for an 2001 mac pro ?

i do not currently have one installed but want to get one, and wanted to ask anyone who has bought one and installed it, what part # they went with?

thanks
j

there has to be someone out there that has either taken theirs out to replace it or bought one to install?

bueller...bueller....

Check my posts specifically.

I had actually purchased my wireless card from an Apple store for my 2008 Mac Pro. The numbers I posted are accurate.

If you like I could also take a pic of the box it came in, as I still have it. I believe that box had a part number on it also.

yeah if you could snap a shot, id appreciate it! i can prolly get on of the bay for cheap eh?

thanks

thanks for everyone's help, i will go with dual shocks info and get the one i found on the bay for like 56-59

thanks for the write ups as well guys on how to install this card,

is it still fathomable to conceive that the way to install it is to disconnect the blue tooth cord and hook both up as described in the the mac rumors guides?

or one of the links that zionkrl sent?

thanks

From my amateur understanding, the guide should work just fine. Both wi-fi and bluetooth use the same frequencies so the same antennas should all be interchangeable. Perhaps instead of labeling them 1, 2, 3, and BT, they could have labeled them front, back, top, or wherever it is that they go.
