I am having problems connecting to an FTP server and I am wondering if it is related to my Airport.
Situation: running OS X 10.1.5 and an Airport with a cable modem. I get a "could not connect to server - server not found" error message when I try to FTP to a specific FTP server on Port 21. I have no problems with FTP to my web server, so I know my FTP prorgam works.
It was suggested that my firewall might block traffic on Port 21, but I do not know how to check for this. I have tried both with and without Passive mode, and that seems to have no effect as well.
Does anyone here have an idea of what I can try next or a good resource on troubleshooting ftp problems?
Thanks.
