Hello,
I am very new here. In the WINs world I used FTP Switch and used Internet Explorer to FTP to a remote server. I tried to use Safari to connect to the server and it said I am not allowed.

Any suggestions for FTPing through a browser?

Thank you,

Odisey

Safari doesn't have a two-directional FTP function. The Finder can provide some basic FTP features, but it sounds like you want FireFTP for Firefox:

...never used it myself, but I've heard it recommended before. There are also a number of free stand-alone FTP programs, and a couple more very good not-free ones (which is what I use when I'm not just using the built-in terminal FTP).

Don't worry about using a browser for FTP.

Cyberduck, a free FTP application for the mac, is everything you need.

Its quick, small, and powerful!

Am I the only one who uses the Terminal for FTP? :)

I've downloaded Cyberduck and Fetch, but it seems like it'll take me longer to get the hang of either of them than to upload a few files to my site through the command line.
