Are there any Fuji shooters (X) out there using the Pro Silky Pic software?

On a Mac specifically.

The Raw File Converter3 freebee works OK-ish on my late2013MacPro to produce my favourite developer Raf images but is very slow and clunky to use (old fashion UI).

The Developer Studio 8 is on offer at £49 at the moment and looks a good deal although Studio 9 is already out there (expensive).

Would appreciate any knowledgable comments as although other Apps (eg. Affinity)are making progress with their development of Raf the Silky Pics results are extremely tempting and by repute very fast.

Regard

Sharkey

I never use SilkyPix. You do know that there is a free version of Capture One for Fuji now right?

Don’t know if you are interested in that?

Wow, glad I went and looked at that! Version 12 is out. I still hang in there with Lightroom though

Hi, Kenoh, The freebees are limited function unfortunately bit of a sprat to catch a mackerel.

You'll get C1-12 as an upgrade so should be a no brainer. Looks like C1 has improved a lot since I struggled with it a few years back but finances are even tighter now (pensions rarely get bigger as you age) :-(

Trying the Fuji latest freebee (C1-12version) at the moment; still doesn't flow how I would like, developed quickly enough and final TIFF is pretty nice but still have to use Affinity to touch up TIFF.. Boy would I love to lay out a workflow and cherry pick the stuff that works for me into it. The more I have learnt and the higher I have set my standards the less capable one piece of software seems to fit my goals. Still get the urge to shoot high quality jpgs or go back to film!

It is just too damned complex sometimes now. DUH!
