I've been lucky enough to have the Fuji X-TI for the next two days. I've been testing auto focus and dynamic range. The senor in the Fuji has the exact same dynamic range as my Canon 6D. The resolving power is almost identical but the Canon 6D is a little ahead only visible in full resolution. Very impressed with the senor so far. Canon was using the Sigma 35mm 1.4 ART and the Fuji the 23mm 1.4.

I love my X-T1 as well. My other camera is a Nikon Df (yes, I love dials).
Every time I think about selling off my Nikon gear, I take my Df out for some low light shooting. The Fuji is good, but the Df is fantastic.

But I agree to your point, the Fuji has a great sensor.

If you get the chance to shoot with the 35mm f/1.4, do it. The 23mm is technically a superb lens, but the 35mm will resolve colors in a much more "Fuji way".

I admit that the Df is an odd bird but has a certain appeal that if not for the price I would consider it an option. In the meanwhile, I too shoot Fuji and really enjoy both the experience and the output (RAF in my case).

Sitting in a drawer is my old back up camera that I think got used twice in its life - a Nikon FM2 + Series 1 macro lens and Minolta Flash meter. They might never be used again but sure brings back memories of the world of dials and film which I do miss.

I got to use the 23mm 1.4 35mm 1.4 and 56mm 1.4 All great lens, Canon L glass quality or even better. I almost switched to the system, but I didn't like the autofocus handling and the rear 4 way dial is terrible and having to push those buttons while shooting using the viewfinder is difficult. I really like have the quick autofocus control on my DSLR. If they fix that issue then it might be my next system.

On a side no, the Nikon Df feels terrible in the hand, it's grip is for ages 6-14. I don't always use a tripod so it's not a option. Fuji's feel is very good.
