Looks great, but I blew my camera budget at the end of last year.

I wish they'd bring these things out before the end of the year.

I know what you mean....still, I'm surprised they're making it available so soon after the Photokina announcement in September.

It's been in development for some time. I'd absolutely love to use one for my landscapes and even with it's excellent Medium Format pricing and Fuji MF heritage behind it - I simply cannot afford it!

It really is a sign of how things will go. Medium Format relatively expensive but accessible before digital. Until now, Digital MF has been a niche due to it's pricing. Although it's not a 'true' 645 MF sensor size, it's still impressive that they've kept the pricing so low.

I hope the GFX changes the industry and makes MF accessible again.

Yeah, I love Fuji Medium Format (still have a couple laying around) and found them to be some of the best quality
and most innovative Medium Format cameras available.

Interesting to see some of the accessories they're proposing, which will make this a very good system for Pros.

If this had been available in December, I could have justified it, but it wasn't, so the money went elsewhere.

Still, I'll be watching closely next year.

Some general impressions after a couple of months w/the new GFX 100 II:
  • Much lighter, especially appreciate this when carrying around w/the 45mm
  • Form factor makes it easier to pack in a bag w/lenses
  • Build quality does not feel as robust as the previous generation
  • GFXII does not draw attention like the GFX 100
  • CFexpress Card speeds have zero impact on write speeds of stills
  • Video is better.
If I were on the fence, I would look for a used GFX100 and save myself $4k and spend that on a lens. The GF 32-64mm F/4 is $500 off new right now. If I could only afford one lens, that would be the one I would get.

I see myself as the target market for this digital medium format point & shoot.

It helps greatly that it is cheaper than a Q3 & Q3 43 with a 0.79x crop.

What is missed is a faster than f/4.0 lens and Image Stabalization.

Other than that it's a good successor to the GF670 from 2008-2014.
