When I press CMD Shift Expand the window resizes to fill the screen which is what I want but without needing to press the CMD and Shift. Is it possible to make this happen by default (without the shortcuts) instead of when you click to expand the window it going into full screen.

I dont really like full screen modes as I find it a pain to change between apps and when I have a hidden dock it takes too long to pop up

Most apps remember the last window size when they close. If you drag it to the same size, does that work?

Yes but sometimes I resize them or mess around with them but then I want to just click on the expand button and for them to fit to the screen without going fullscreen without using the shortcut. Is there no way to do this?
