Full frame to Widescreen help

I am using HB to rip movies and have been just fine with that, but I have 4 DVD concerts by different bands that are all recorded in 4:3 Full Frame. For movies, anamorphic and aspect ratio are important to me, but for these it is not. I would rather the image take up the whole space than leave black side bars.

My DVD player has an option to play all Full Frame movies at full TV width, but the Apple TV/iTunes does not to my knowledge. I am guessing I have to do this through the HB encode.

Any suggestions on how to accomplish this. Take a 640x480 source and rip it so it takes a full width 720x(405??) screen. Is there any easy way to do this.
