This might be a little long, but I wanna try to figure this out. And apparently many many people have this issue but I never seem to find an answer when searching forums or google.
Can someone please explain to me why I can't get the contact photos I've assigned to display full screen consistently?
I've searched the forum already and could t find the answers I was looking for.
Heres what I have and what I know:
I have a 6sPlus on 10.2
In the past when I had the issue of displaying circle only, I found that the photo had to come from your device.
Meaning, if someone air dropped or text me a contact, their assigned photo would only display in a circle.
But if I had the same photo saved in my camera roll and then assigned that photo to contact it would then display as full screen ID when that person called me.
Now it seems to not matter. It seems to be dependent on cropping etc.
I had a photo of my daughter saved as a contact image for here.
It was a horizontal image set to my liking inside the circle. Of course zoomed in pretty tight to do this because of orientation
But it would NOT display full screen.
But if I deleted that photo, then reassigned and did not adjust it, then it would show full screen, but of course cropped to portrait.
Thought I figured it out but hen it stopped working when I tried to call from her phone again within 30sec. Now I can't get it to display full screen at all no matter how I set it
I wish Apple would just give us control of this in settings.
