Full Size Images on Iphone?

Hey all,
I'm not sure if there's a solution for this, but I figured I'd ask. I often have free time at work, I spend a lot of it making wallpapers for my ipod, because it's really the only time I feel inspired enough.

Is there a way to get the images on my phone a decent size/resolution so it's not blurry? I tried uploading it to a website and saving it directly onto the iphone, but the phone resizes it, then stretches it to fit the screen, causing some nasty blurriness.

Anyone know any way around this, without syncing the images to the phone? (I haven't figured out a good way to run my phone on my PC at work and my Mac at home).
 
They should be saving at their full size when you save through email or anything else. When I save images, they're not resized to the iPhone resolution... I've also synced full desktop-sized wallpapers with my phone and they stay their correct size.

Are you saving by holding down on the image and hitting "save image"?
 
Hm, I tried that exact process, when I go to make it a wallpaper, it's the rez'd down size, zooming in makes it extremely blurry.
 
they need to be 320x480px to display 'perfectly' what I do (and have just been doing as we speak) is create a folder in which to save the pics on the computer and tell itunes to sync that folder then they get put onto the phone with minimal compression ;)
 
I'm trying to figure out a way to keep the image at full quality when I'm not syncing on the computer. Like I said, I do a lot of stuff that I'd like to put on the phone while I'm at work, and I don't really have an option to sync at work.

I'm fully aware how to create the right image size and sync it at home, but I want a way to get the images at full quality when I'm not at my personal computer. Emailing/grabbing from safari just don't seem to cut it :(

Sorry I misunderstood then...

I know I tried hosting online then saving (the image was at the correct 320x480 size) but the phone would heavily compress them as it creates the jpg, even if its saved as a jpg on the computer, mail compresses the image even more, it really looks like your best option is to email them home then sync :/

I've been told by a lot of people to download "Exposure" in the appstore, upload the photo to flickr, and it downloads at an uncompressed quality, but I guess exposure is no longer available.

Thanks for the help though, does seem like that is my best option! That's unfortunate!
 
easiest method would be if you could engage disk mode and just plug into you pc and place picture files where you want them :) but i guess that negates the need for iphoto lol

*sigh* I'm trying to AVOID computer/phone connection.

It was a hypothetical suggestion afaik there isn't a disk mode on the iPhone.

Guess it's just one of those things apple need to figure out at least saved images aren't as bad as they were on 2.2.1 where they just had massive pixels as though they were 100x100px images enlarged in ms paint lol
