Title should read "throwball" or "American Football" instead of football. 90% of the civilzed world would think you were talking about soccer based on the title.

You're in NY, a great city for football. I'm not sure about 90% though. I would say you are right, but in America no body says "Hey, lets watch American Football this sunday"... lol. I'm sure ppl will figure it out pretty easily.

True, but Apple is an American company and most sales are from.... you guessed it, United States of America! So, I was just writing how the masses know it best :)

I don't want to get into a country spat... I am just trying to promote my game which is fun for all ages and all people! Though, 95% of my sales come from the US.

I too thought it was a footy app (soccer)!

So there are more sales of iPhones in the US than there is in the rest of the world together. Because the rest of the world know football to be a game were you primarily use your foot to kick a ball.

It's worth noting that since this an Internet-based forum (with international visitors) the "90%" shouldn't expect soccer either. If complete thread title disambiguation is desired (a somewhat trivial point), the term 'Association Football' should be used. I know this will come as a shock to those who think 'soccer' and 'football' are synonomous.
 
Didn't you guys realise that Americans dominate the internet and they are always right. Na I'm just kidding.

If they want to call it football let them. Here in Oz it gets a little confusing at times when someone says 'Footie' they could mean one of three things; rugby, soccer or AFL (better known as gayfl) :D
