i want to start this forum to find and collect different, fun, useful modifications for the best laptops out there.

post links or simply share in the forum about your mods that you have stumbled on and your experience.

lets get it started with something i think everyone should check out.

this mod was made by user Rokem. you can use it to get cooler temperatures on your macbooks by running scripts that tell the computer to run the fans faster. it has been deemed safe by my testing as well as others.

ive been seeing a huge decrease in cpu temps. all you have to do is download this file http://www.filefactory.com/file/3cc9d6/ (read down a bit past the google ads)

once you download it, it should mount itself as a disk image. then simply drag the folder named smc into your apps folder, and then go into that folder and choose a script ( they are named as different fan speeds, i reccomend starting with 4000 rpm for about 15 mins then running the 3500 one.) if you want proof that its working other than your lap not sweating, download this http://www.versiontracker.com/php/d...macbricol.free.fr/coreduotemp/CoreDuoTemp.zip

heres another cool mod you have all prolly heard of
do a google search for iAlertU, its a real, live car alarm for your mac, powered by your Apple Remote.

if someone would post the link for that one program that uses the SMS to enable fast user switching when you tap the side of your MB?

maybe someone could dig up the story about the powerbook mod where they made the apple logo glow in the oldschool rainbow colors, or put a pic of the old cowdog from the old mac icons in there.

anything else someone may think is cool/able to do, please post here! im just another dude trying to get the best experience out of such an expensive investment!
