Hello,

I am having an interesting problem with my Apple TV. I have it patched(read: hacked) to version 2.4 through the use a patch stick. Ever since I have upgraded it from 1.1, the ATV has been acting very sluggish, with poor video playback at times. Even the introduction video clip plays with heavy artifacting and jittery video. I also get frequent finder restarts. Has anyone else had this problem with a patched ATV? I do have some videos streamed from iTunes, but I also experience problems with videos stored on local disk. Any suggestions?

Probably an issue with your file system.
My recommendation would be to do a factory restore and then upgrade to the latest firmware version.

Patched to 3.0.2 via ATV-USB-Creator, and all was well until I ran nitoTV's Smart Installer. After that, I noticed the significant slowdown that I had with the Apple TV before. I patched again and installed the plugins that I needed by hand, and all is well.
