funny smells at the office.

I know I can not be the only one that has to put up with this.

So I am at the office sitting at my desk. I have work up on my work PC, but I am playing oon my PowerBook:D . Out of nowhere this horrible sweet chemically oder. I don't know who is spraying the crap, but it stinks. I feel like I am getting cancer all over my body when I sense it drifting into my cube. It makes the one girl that forgot where her shower was not so bad to deal with.

Sorry, had to vent, but I Know I am not the only one.
 
Totally confused. What's this chemical smell? Do you know?

The carpet in my classroom stinks. And my kids bring all sorts of odors with them. And ... a dog crapped in one of my colleague's classrooms on Friday.

Work smells. I got those.
 
when i took this 3-hr exam last week, this chick who sat next to me smelled like she didn't showered for days after running... ... i sat though the entire exam with that smell, and i could still smell it when i was sleeping that night. :mad:

I had the same experience last year, it was so nasty and on top of that the guy had a cold, and kept snorting back his snot, and wiping his nose on his jacket.
 
What smells have I had to contend with at the office...

There were a couple of stoners who hit the reefer during their lunch break.
Obviously various people who didn't shower.
Someone who seemed to have rubbed his body with salami and garlic.
An officemate who ate some sort of vegetable matter that smelled like week old roadkill.
An office right next to poorly ventilated bathroom.

WillyJizz can have a sweet chemically smell. Maybe someone is banging the boss in their lunch break. :eek:
 
I've been thinking that if you find the right combination of deodorant, aftershave, spray, a couple perfumes, and some random hygiene products -- that you might be able to create a deadly gas/nerve toxin.

Some of those combinations to lead to rather effective regurgitatants, so something lethal cannot be far behind.
 
There's a guy in my office whose breath smells like somebody sh*t in his mouth. Not a word of a lie. I gave him gum. It helped a little. Another guy wears WAY too much cologne.
 
my office has recycled air, we dont get stinky air we get filthy air. As in if someone is sick on your floor most likely its a plague that will break out.

And my office suck bec theres no ventalation, so If I eat anything that has strong smell I am screwed for few days.

No one really smells that bad in my office near where I sit -- the worst i have to deal with is a woman who never shuts her mouth (or has anything interesting to say) and has a voice that carries a country mile...
 
In our office, close to the restroom facilities, we get inundated with "fresh bouquet" scent masking. At times, the scent was so strong I would get dizzy.
 
When I was at university, one of the other guys in our studio had apparently the foulest BO ever encountered – I've a very, very poor sense of smell so luckily I was immune to the effects of his pong. As spring turned to summer and the temperature soared, the smell reached a point where it got unbearable. My enterprising colleagues ended up attaching air fresheners to the underside of his drawing board, which apparently helped things somewhat. :D

My student teaching classroom in Joliet smells too, but that's because we have a severe cockroach problem

Does Chicago stink?

I'm just outside of Hartford. We have ants. Because the kids ... struggle to use the trash cans provided for them.

The other day, a mound of ants crawling on some bread.

This afternoon, a mound of ants on a butter wrapper.

We drowned them in all purpose cleaner. All purpose indeed.
 
I am TOO picky with food, but this just took the biscuit:

I don't really eat plane food, but after 20 hours with only a 2 hour stop at an airport, I was pretty desperate. I was glad when food was coming round, until I found that it was this spinach and cheese thing. I chose not to eat it, and just wait a bit until I could get some proper food. Unfortunately, it was the most disgusting smelling smell EVER, and I was hungry, irritable, tired, and overwhelmed with this odour...not a good combo...
