You are very welcome. Nice to see a Rush fan-- I was thinking about getting Moving Pictures from the music store-- one of my favorite teenage records.

With respect the the thread topic, that is a great piece of editing. I think I read that the guy who did it got numerous Hollywood job offers. The trailer also bears about the same relationship to the film it promotes as do most Hollywood trailers today-- none.

In a way. It is a trailer that was just made for a movie that came out 25 years ago. (God am I that old?).. I believe it is done to show how movie trailers today do not really show you what the movie is about.

Now with that being said I went back and watched the original trailer for the movie that can be found here.

And it was twisted. Did not really show much of anything but at least it did not misrepresent the film.
 
you must have actually seen the "Shining" in order to get the joke. If you havent seen it I highly recommend it. one of the all time best horror movies. even though it was changed a bit from the original Steve King book.

Thanks for that link. I didn't realize how twisted that trailer was! :eek: The music is perfect and even though nothing happens, it's still quite creepy. I actually got the chills watching it in a little enclave, had to wave my arms to get the lights back on :p (motion sensored lights).

Awesome spoof-trailer, makes it look like a loving family film :)

The movie is a horror flick... it is NOTHING like the trailer makes it to be. Sort of like turning Halloween into a Disney movie. :)
 
I have seen the trailer once before. Well done. Jack Nicolson is an awesome actor, reason for me to see a film.
