hey all,

out of no where, i see this app in my system preferences. any idea where it got there, and why; but most importantly how to kick it out of my system?
Three points:
  1. FUSE for OSX was included with something that you installed.
  2. You wanted whatever you installed and probably use it often.
  3. If you remove FUSE for OS X, then the application/utility that you wanted will no longer work properly.

sure, but i have no idea what installed it, and i would certainly know if i'd authorised the install. i'm adding screen shots of my launcher, in hope anyone would recognise the app that might've installed it:

If it was installed as part of another application, you wouldn't necessarily have had to do a separate authorization for it.
