Fusion 1.0 running, then adding Boot Camp?

Sorry if this is a repeat, but my search came up empty. I have a trial version of 1.0 Fusion running Windows XP on my iMac 2.4 GHz Alu and it is great. Better than Parallels on my MBP. But now I want to load Boot Camp since I've upgraded to Leopard today. I have not been using Boot Camp before. Is this possible or do I have to reload Boot Camp first and then add back Fusion? I only have Windows XP Pro (pre SP2) discs. Fusion is working great with leopard.

Fusion creates virtual machines, either on newly created virtual disks,
or from already existing Boot Camp partitions. You can have both as
long as you have two licenses.If you've only got one license, you may
have to contact Microsoft to re-activate.

You should probably look at the Fusion "Getting Started Guide" to see
their recommended Boot Camp VM installation procedure. It's at the
VMware web site.

Actually, I did look at that, but the guide only talks about loading Boot Camp first and then installing Fusion. I have the opposite problem. I can load Boot Camp, but it loads separately from the Fusion virtual disk that is already running.

First, I've never used boot camp, so it may be best if you ask this question
on the Fusion discussion forum at the VMware web site.

Second, I'm not sure I understand. When you say "load boot camp", do you
mean:

1) you've created a boot camp partition with Windows that you can boot into
when starting up your mac, which is NOT a Fusion Virtual Machine

2) you've created a Fusion VM from a Windows boot camp partition, and can
run that VM separately from your previous virtual-disk VM.

3) something else

Also, is what you want to do:

1) create a Windows boot camp partition from scratch

2) turn a Windows boot camp partition into a VM

3) turn an already existing Windows VM into a boot camp partition

4) merge a boot camp Windows VM with a virtual-disk VM

Keep in mind that you have to think of virtual machines as machines,
as if you had two separate PCs in the same situation. Sometimes the
easiest thing is just re-install.

Yes, I am trying to do number 3, convert Windows VM into a Boot Camp partition. It is looking like I will have to restart from scratch as you suggest. I'm also checking out the Fusion forums, but not luck. I did find someone also with the same situation I have.

Starting from scratch is not so easy either as my clean Windows XP installation disc is SP1 and I've been trying to slipstream it into an SP2 installation disk. Lot's of fun Anyway, thanks for taking the time to reply.
