Hi Team,

I need some help as I’m running out of space.

I had my HD replaced with a 2TB SSD. All seemed to be well. But now I’m not able to free up space. I have deleted hundreds of GB of files, yes I emptied trash, but the space is not becoming available.

On investigation, it appears that I still have a Fusion Drive system, SSD and SSD. I’m not sure if this is causing the problem. Also my drive utility shows the below. which is confusing:
Fusion Drive
Container
Mac HD
Mac HD Data

Please help.

Thanks,

The red & blue bars are just telling you what proportion of the container are assigned to the Macintosh HD & Macintosh HD - Data partitions.

If you click on the Macintosh HD or Macintosh HD - Data partitions in the window on the left, you should see a break down of what they contain - and I'm guessing the Data one will have lots of free space.
