Don't really care about debating/defending/rejecting any of these options. I'm just curious what people would choose if given the choice.

I would choose an edge to edge screen, in the form factor of an SE, or a re-designed device that is slightly larger but still easy to use one handed.

Should have a Face ID under the screen option, I have zero issues with Face ID and actually get it to work more times than not on a table . The new iOS 13 beta makes it quicker for me also

Touch ID to me is just a better option especially when one is laying down.

You’re absolutely correct. And that is the one downside to face ID that has been problematic since the beginning. When you’re laying down, your facial muscles are relaxed, and it makes it difficult to unlock the phone successfully. I’ve experienced this many times, but I guess it’s the one drawback to face ID, kind a like how damp fingers could pose a problem unlocking iPhone with touch ID. _All_ great technology, but comes with its minor problems.
