My youtube videos are kinda out of focus, and a bit fuzzy. I don't see the HD option on any I have accessed on the ipad so far, but they are clear on my desktop? Any settings or something I need to do? Thanks

Same here. Only when on 3G though they are very grainy looking. If i switch to wifi i am fine.

I am pretty sure this has always been the way YouTube videos have been - even on the iPhone.

Streaming over data network = fuzzy, lower quality resolution.

Streaming over WIFI = good quality.

I think this is the way YouTube has set it up, so they don't bottle neck on bandwidth for those people who are connecting via a slow network feed (ala 3G).

Does anybody notice that MORE AND MORE videos are converted to 320 resolution? I suspect this is to accommodate cell-net performance.

Therefore, your 320 video would look not-so-great on that 768 display. Watching on Wifi in 640 should be fine :D

I'm SO SOOO grateful of the new 320 option, now Youtube flies on my PowerMac G4 1.25ghz SP :D

I only wish you could choose such options on the iPhone/iPad =\

Pretty much sucks with 3G what the heck. I guess they told us this would suck? I tried to load a 20M app and it told me to go find wifi. 3G is not unlimited they put boundaries on us. My mail will not connect on it either but work on my iPhone, this might be my fault because I am not using enough magic. Off to find some wifi.........

I tend to agree. Glad I jumped in straight away and got the WiFi only. I have WiFi at home, at work, and pretty much anywhere else I go. And I already pay for 3G on my iPhone. I just don't want to pay another freaking bill for 3G.

Yep. These early tests show the difference. 3G is nice for always being connected, but I don't want painfully slow performance, nor low-quality videos.

I guess nobody read the fine print*

*Service and performance vary by carrier, usage and location.

XD

Thank you.

Although, I've never had a problem with AT&T's performance here in Texas. Snappy and reliable.

Found my wifi password, and the vids are great now! Best of both world I guess. Be nice to view youtube walking somewhere, but I will live:D

There's gonna be a lot of griping about the 3g video quality! Well, at least the 3g people get the Wifi option and GPS.

I am so freaking Pissed!!!!! The bloat and gloat about having a YouTube app, "that has great HD videos that look spectacular on the iPad" says Steve Jobs. The videos are dumbed down just like the iPhone on 3G. Un-freaking-believable.

My Wifi only iPad has been awesome, I love it. Great job Apple.

3G IPad has a yellow screen, and crap 3G data. I am returning this POS. Will try my best not to just drive by and throw it through the front window. Apple needs to get on ATTs rear end about getting their act together. And knowing what a great, customer friendly company ATT is, I am sure they will be happy to refund my $30 for unlimited data on the new iPad I won't use.

Well off to run as much data as humanly possible through 3G; maybe a little spitefulness will make me sleep better tonight.

OMFG... Guardian Eyewitness app requires a wireless network to view photographs. What a joke, Apple will regret sticking with ATT for the iPad.
