Just a public service announcement for those wondering about Air 1 cases. Didn't see anyone say anything about this, but didn't look hard either... figure people won't click if it's old news to them.

I had a Belkin Sheer Shield and Apple Smart Cover on my Air. I just popped them onto my Air 2. The Sheer Shield fit OK. Small gap, but usable. Then I looked a little closer and noticed the back camera was partially obscured. D'oh!

The Smart Cover works fine however, auto on, auto off.

The camera, microphones, and switches are all positioned differently on the Air 2, yet everyone only focuses on the thickness. Even the Apple Store employees I overheard today.

There may be some cases out there that have such large or crude cutouts that might render them passable, but those aren't the type of cases a discerning user would probably want anyway.

Bottom line, the screen covers are OK, the cases aren't.

Yes it is off and so are some other buttons.
Here's some pics of the poetic graph grip for iPad Air 1 on my iPad Air 2.
