Hey all,
I recently bought the new MB 2.2 GHz with the standard 1GB (2x512) ram, then upgraded to 2x2GB ram on my own, like i know many of you did. I did the upgrade right out of the box before i ever turned the computer on. This was about 2 weeks ago. Since then I have had about 5 kernal panics, forcing me to restart. this seems to happen every other day or so. I read that the biggest cause of kernal panics can be RAM. The type of ram i have is 2x2GB made by G.Skill, it fits all the specifications for the macbook. I got it from Newegg.com. I ran the program Rember and the ram passed the test. Does anyone else have this ram in their macbook and have you had similar problems? I'm just trying to isolate what could be causing the panic and would like to know if anyone else has had this experience before i take the comptuer apart again and put the measly old 1GB of ram back in.
I've seen the xlabs link regarding how to deal with a kernal panic, so please dont like me there. I'd like to avoid going through all those steps and first see if someone has had the same experience with the type of ram I am using. Thanks!
