Notes:
1. The PPC G4 includes the AltiVec "Velocity Engine" vector processor.
2. Boot ROM is roughly 1 MB, other instructions are loaded into RAM.
3. 256k on-chip level 2 cache runs at processor speed (800 MHz).
4. Noninterleaved, 168-pin, 64-bit-wide 8ns PC133 SDRAM (3.3v).
5. NVIDIA GeForce4 MX video card with 32 MB of DDR RAM.
6. One factory-installed DIMM and one user-upgradable SO-DIMM slot.
7. Burn DVD-R at 2X, read DVD at 6X, burn CD at 8X/4X, read CD at 24X.
8. Gorgeous 10.5" half-sphere, ice white case with a chromed stainless steel neck that supports the display.
9. 15.0" TFT active-matrix color display (1024x768 native resolution).
10. Minimum - in inches, height x width x depth (Max: 20.0 x 16.3 x 16.3).

However I've done some reading (that I should have done before) and realised that it doesn't come with Airport - seems to be an optional feature that by my reading above it doesn't have installed).

Now I could get an external USB dongle to do this, however it seems that this requires USB2...

So does anyone know if this G4 comes with USB2?
I also want to know this because of the possible drop in transfer speeds with the iPod Nano that I currently have.

Hmm

I've got a 12" G4 iBook atm (which I'm keeping)
Never occured to me what version of USB it has... Anyone know?
I can always spend a bit more on an airport card i suppose, now its just a question of the transfer rates for the mp3's to the ipod (nano doesn't support firewire).

About 10-15 mins to fill up a 1gb Shuffle from empty.

No 2.0 for G4 iMac

The G4 iMac's unfortunately do not have USB 2.0 built-in. The G4 Powermac's did not come with 2.0 either, but the great thing about it is one could buy a PCI USB external card that works great. I bought one and use it to synch my iPod with.
