I’ve got an old Power PC G5 iMac, and this is the screen I've started getting when I try to start up the computer.
Any ideas?

Detrius, thank you so much for the link! The most I’ve ever attempted is to add more RAM to my computer, so this is going to be a real challenge! But hey, I don’t have a working computer now, so if my attempt fails, nothing lost, only experience gained, and if I’m successful, I’ve saved a lot of money over the cost of another computer. It’s a win win situation!:)

Of course, verify that you do have blown capacitors before you start trying to replace them. It was very common on those machines, and it did cause graphics problems.

After several failed attempts, my computer can now start up in Safe Boot mode, although it takes 10 minutes or so to start up. I can still use the browser, and although video will play just fine, there is no audio. I’ve gone into System Preferences > Sound to make sure the sound is turned on, and each time I do the small speaker icon shows up at the top of the screen, but when I click on it, it disappears. Is audio disabled in Safe Mode, or is there more wrong with my computer than I originally thought
