G5 with Microsoft stickers on it

just found this at a garage sale.. anyone know what this machine is? Looks like a regular G5 tower but it has these curious Microsoft stickers on it. It was also in a box with this graphics card

interesting... had no idea! I was just buying it to make a bench out of it :p (like the attached pic)

Exactly. I don't think I've ever seen one of those in the wild. It's probably worth quite a bit more than people think.

Funny to see that the development hardware for the Xbox 360 was the complete other way around to what they used in the original Xbox (PowerPC + Ati vs Pentium 3 + Nvidia). And they did actually went with PowerPC + Ati for the Xbox 360, I guess this was the cheapest way of getting hands-on experience with similar hardware for the developers back then, although it must have been a tiny bit painful for Microsoft to ship out Macs haha. It's a really cool garage-sale find you got there! Could you tell more about the specs of this machine? Very interesting :)

hahaha I thought about it, but don't want any Men in Black at my door

I know very little about computers, so please let me know what specs I can find for you. just a picture of the inside and back of the machine?
 
Look up the serial on a site and see if it come up. I have a DVT Prototype G5 Quad and the SN won't appear anywhere(as expected). Also, the layout of the processor covers indicate that it is a 2003-early 2004 G5, meaning 360 development occurred somewhat quickly. Anyhow, if it has the original HDD it would be cool to see what is on it, and the video card you posted a picture of is worth $100 on its own
 
forgot to mention that it also came with a zip drive. will have a closer look tomorrow and see if there's a disc in it, or any other accessories in the box. thanks everyone for sharing your knowledge
