I'm looking for a set of bluetooth buds that have USB type c, battery like and staying in ear is the top thing, well and sound quality on calls and music(rock). Being able to be connected and swap between multiple devices would be really nice as well. These seems like they are getting great reviews but would like opinions. I also don't want the style that stick out if the ear like airpods

The Galaxy Buds+ are great. I really like mine, but since I got the new Pixel Buds a few days ago I haven't used the Galaxy Buds. I prefer the fit, seamless google assistant integration, sound, and charging case of the Pixel Buds. The battery life may not be quite as good but it is still great and they charge up very quickly. The Galaxy Buds are about $30 less but if I had to choose which to buy I'd go for the Pixel Buds. Both are great though and I think most people would be satisfied with either set of buds unless you are an audiophile, in which case you would want to go with a set that costs quite a bit more.

I’ve seen the ‘seamless google assistant integration’ statement in multiple online reviews as well but maybe you can clarify something for me. How is it any different on the Pixel Buds than just triggering the Assistant on any pair of wireless earbuds? Doesn’t a long press on the Galaxy Buds+ do the same thing if paired to any Android Phone? I had the last generation of Galaxy Buds and IIRC, I could trigger either the Google Assistent or even Siri (obviously depending on which phone my Buds were connected to) with a long press? What’s the advantage on the Pixel Buds?

It really should be hands free assistant activation if it’s seamless. Shouldn’t have to touch the buds. Although both the pixel buds and galaxy buds have the advantage of having volume controls without using your phone or the assistant.

Where the Galaxy Buds are super frustrating compared to AirPods are the accidental presses. The stems on the AirPod Pros are perfect. When I had Galaxy Buds I'd try to use them for skipping tracks and could never nail it down right.

I only had my galaxy buds for 8 days so it’s possible that I didn’t have enough time to learn the controls. I did have a few accidental presses. My main gripe was that I felt they were going to fall out of my ears.

Agreed. I've tried a few different "buds" including the Jabras, and I can say with complete confidence that AirPod Pros are the true leader in the clubhouse. It's possible that there are other pairs out there that I haven't tried that could beat them. But in my experience, it's not even close.

I found the little ‘wings’ on the Galaxy Buds to be the perfect little addition to help lock the Buds in my ears. I’d insert the bud and give it a slight little clockwise twist, which would slide that wing just under a ridge in my ear. Of course everybody’s ear shapes are different so I might’ve just had a coincidentally good ear shape. ;)

I’ll agree with the accidental touches though..just slightly messing with their position in my ear would usually lead to be accidentally pausing whatever I was listening to. And after using quite a few different truly wireless earbuds, I’ll have to agree about the fit of the AirPods Pro. I suffer from the least amount of ’earbud’ fatigue wearing those, with my Powerbeats Pro following right behind. That being said, I also customized the fit by doing the ‘memory foam’ hack on my AirPods Pro (there’s a thread over in that subforum outlining how it’s done) and I swapped the stock silicone tips on my Powerbeats Pro for foam versions.

Absolutely with you. that's where I would have my accidental touches, if I were to try to adjust it. I guess that's the drawback of not having a stem.

I love the Galaxy Buds Plus. I was coming from the Galaxy Iconx and I've tried the airpods (not pro) and a few others, but so far the Galaxy Buds + have the best combo of fit, sounds quality, and battery life for me. But i've heard the Airpods Pro are great and for that price, they better be.

I owned the Airpods Pro, they work great on Samsung.

Based on everything I've read/watched online, the Galaxy Buds Plus would likely be my choice as well if I couldn't use AirPods Pro. I liked the fit and sound quality of the last generation of Buds--downsides were battery recharges in case (only one extra charge) and microphone quality (every caller said I sounded awful so I resorted to never taking calls on them). The battery life on the new Buds Plus appears to be terrific and the few audio samples I've heard sound better...still not great but at least improved from the last version.

I'll admit I've really never made calls on the Galaxy Buds so I cant vouge for their mic quality. Thats one of the areas where the airpods get the most praise.

The original Galaxy Buds were horrendous for call quality. I tried using them for work a few times and I literally had people get pissed and hang up on me. Never tried on the newer ones but supposedly it's better.

Since the apocalypse started in March, I've been working from home and I use my AirPod Pros daily for a good 3-4 hours and they've worked fantastic. If anything, it's Wifi Calling on my 11 Pro Max that craps out sometimes but my Airpods have been a joy to use for work.

AirPods have always been good going back to the first gen. I’ve had all three versions and had no issues with phone calls. I think I used the galaxy buds once for a call and the quality was really muddy. But it was just a one off so it would be unfair to judge based on that. However my dad has the original galaxy buds and he says that the call quality is rubbish. He likes everything else about them though. He says they sound really good and he is an audiophile.

I recently purchased the Galaxy Buds Plus because I couldn't go a full day of meetings with the APP before the battery ran out, and wanted another set of earbuds to be able to switch between. I must say I am very impressed by them. As has been mentioned previously, the APPs are bit more 'polished' than the Buds Plus, but I find them very comfortable, the ambient feature works very well, call quality (on both sides) is great, I love being able to control volume from them, and the battery life is phenomenal. If I have to be honest, I find them more comfortable to wear than the APPs. For $149, which includes USB-C and Wireless charging, they are a fantastic deal.

I am quite fond of the Galaxy Buds Plus. Connectivity (to a Galaxy phone...) is as simple as it can be, the fit is safe enough for running thanks to the different size rubber pieces, and they seem to work well enough for calls and video conferences.

I found some Galaxy Bud +'s on Amazon as open box warehouse deals for 95. I ordered them even though I'm.pretty happy with these generic ones I bought on Amazon but I want to try the +'s and the price was good. The generics I bought on Amazon have type c, wireless charging, excellent battery life...they are really good for the money

I listened to them yesterday most of the day and they sound better than the enacfire generics I have by a little but they don't sound as good as the Tozo T12's I have. The Tozo's are a little bigger but have type c and wireless charging and are way cheaper. They even come with multiple tips

For me, the Amibient sound feature of the Buds+ is a big part of why I bought them. Very few ear buds offer this feature.

I like the Echo buds. only complaint is I wish they had usb c. But I do like that you can use google assistant or Siri as the default rather then Alexa (never been a fan of Alexa google assistant is just so much better imo). They are sweat resistant have noise cancelation and audio passthrough. Not bad for the price if you can live without usb c.

P.S. I also own AirPods Gen 2. I love my AirPods. My main phone is 11 pro and my AirPods are my daily ear buds of choice. I mostly use my Echo buds for working out and occasionally with my work phone (Pixel 4) as they can use google assistant.

I've been without wireless buds for about 2 months.
Lost my Galaxy Buds Plus. Glad I got them free, but still pissed I can't find them. 😡
Mistakenly put my AirPods Gen2 in a washing machine rinse cycle. 😥

I'm definitely going to purchase the Galaxy Buds Plus real soon. Going to make a desperate attempt to find mines one last time.
