For the same price, I think it boils down to s-pen/1GB extra ram vs 70 grams difference in weight, right?

I want to buy a larger tablet. If I don't buy the tab pro 12.2 then i'll have to decide on one of these...which would you choose?

One of the most attractive features of Samsung tablets, IMO, is the S-Pen/Wacom functionality. I tried out the Note 10.1 for a month and ultimately returned it for a number of reasons. However, even though there are flaws associated with it (software based), I'd still consider the S-Pen a highlight, enough to make me still consider keeping it. Without the S-Pen, I likely wouldn't have kept it for more than a few days.

Yeah I'd say get the Note. I have both the Note 2 and 10.1 (original, not 2014); i don't use the s-pen much with the note2 but the s-pen works flawlessly with the 10.1. After having it for so long I don't know how I would use a tablet without a stylus.

No.

Unless you're buying the embedded note the tab is a better buy since it is running the snapdragon vs exynos which is a lag and stutter fest.
