Hi there

My Galaxy Note 3 is restarting every time I put a little pressure on it. For example when I try to wipe/ clean the screen with a cloth. Sometimes even gentle pressure causes it to restart.

Or sometimes if I just put it on a hard surface (I have to be super super careful to put it gently on the surface for it to not restart, really annoying).

What is the issue? This is really annoying me. Never had this happen with a phone.

Sounds like a loose battery.

Try folding up a bit of paper and wedging it in the back of the phone with the battery, so that the battery is more firmly pressed up against the contacts.

Ya a loose battery might be the cause. Try wedging a piece of paper in there to see if that provides a temporary fix. But you shouldn't have to do that. If you pinpoint the problem to a loose battery, get a replacement. Heck, even if you can't pinpoint the problem to the battery, get a replacement.

Awesome tip, seems to be working (for now). Thanks :)

Not sure you should be having to do that with a £600 phone! I'd get a replacement! Certainly not an issue with mine and I hardly treat mine well!

No probs :)

Whilst I agree with the other guys that you would be well within your rights to ask for a replacement, I didn't bother. It happened with my Nokia 5800xm a few years ago and I found the paper to be a permanent fix.

My Note 2 does the same thing if I don't have a case on it. Putting a case on it and it no longer reboots.
