Expected to be unveiled in early September, the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear are now said to start shipping in September and October, respectively.

Samsung’s next flagship smartphone and its first smartwatch are going to be introduced on September 4 at IFA 2013, where the company should announce release plans for both devices.

Sam Mobile says that one of its sources revealed that the Galaxy Note3 will start shipping in week 36 (September 2-8 ) and that the Galaxy Gear will follow it four weeks later, in week 40 (September 30 – October 6).

We don’t have actual launch dates for the two devices just yet, and it’s not known what countries will get them first. We expect the Galaxy Note 3 to launch almost simultaneously in various major markets, but we have no idea whether Samsung will have a similar policy when it comes to the Galaxy Gear.

The publication also says that depending on region, delays of a week or two are to be expected.

Interestingly, Sam Mobile seems to have confirmed the fact that the Galaxy Note 3 will not be available in a 16GB version, saying that the base model will have 32GB of memory, as previously hinted.

Even though Sam Mobile has been fairly accurate in the past about Samsung products, remember that nothing is confirmed at this time.

Thoughts?

Interesting timing with the iPhone launch the week after. This phone (Snapdragon 800) will be a beast and probably outperform the A7 easily.

I might use up my cell upgrade for this just to try it. Usually reserve my cell upgrades for iPhones but the 5S just isn't doing anything for me currently.

Still concerned it will be too big though.

It took me about 2 weeks to get used to the Note 2 size. After that it started looking normal to me. When I looked at my S3 after a month with the Note 2 I laughed at how small it was. I'm hoping Samsung can do what they did with the S4 and make a bigger screen while keeping the physical size the same.

Would be great if true. I've managed just fine with 16GB and a micro sd card but would be happy if 32GB were available at launch.

Yes, thats was one of my few concerns with this phone. If true, it looks like I'll be a future note 3 owner, still keeping an eye on the HTC Max, but the Note 3 with 32gb and removable storage is the early leader.

I'm hoping 32GB minimum becomes the new standard at least when it comes to flagships anyway. Its mind boggling how companies can create devices that tick the boxes in every other department only to cripple its on board storage capacity.

Yeah its definitely pushed me over the line to must buy.

Agree, iPhone 3GS already had 32 GB back in 2009, I can not believe embedded storage has not increased much since then. Flash is worth nothing though and cloud is not reliable enough, when network connectivity is available, of course...

that's because people were complainting for getting only 8-10GB in the 16GB GS4, with 32GB people wont complaint about it that much.

not a problem, actually that's good, 16GB is too small for current smartphones. now let's hope the 32GB model goes for the 16GB model's price and the 64GB model sells for the price of 32gb model.

Yeah, if the 64gb was $349.99, that would be nice. We'll see...

Wonder what the prices will be for sim free 32GB

My guess is that it will be somewhere around £600. A man can hope that there is some sort of early competitive pricing amongst the retailers but I'm not sure how long I'm willing to wait. Want to get this handset before the end of the year so it looks like I'm gonna have to break my record amount spent on a handset set by the Sony Ericsson P990.

think a 32GB note 3 is what would tempt me to get it and sell the S4 honestly. I'm so limited on space on ny S4 if I wanted to add more high end games for example. I may not but nice to have the option.

Supposedly the Note III will revert to a more diagonal S II-like design. Although I maybe wrong and the phone is in a case to mask its actual shape.

Feel the same with a newly acquired Tab 3 8" and my S4 :D

No longer have a need for a Note in 6"ish size.
