Just saying that I can make a video and pretend I'm putting my all into it without actually putting any force on it.

Bottom line, put that sucker in the back pocket of a 200lb man like me and have them jump the drivers seat of a Corvette and drive down the street and back.

That's the real test. I did it with my Note 3 and it flexed just a bit and broke the seal between the phone and the tempered glass cover. Phone recovered just fine though. Did scare me.

So the guys at Everything iPhone just posted a video of their Note 4 bend test:

http://youtu.be/nOE9I0xEBZM

Sorry but that was a pathetic effort--no flex or color change in his thumbs, barely looked like he put any effort into it.

And regarding all of this bending, it's getting a little ridiculous. If you don't treat your electronics well, they'll break--shocking!

Very weak video. Dude wasn't even trying. This whole bend gate is just stupid. You are going to have to really go out of your way to bend an iPhone. I could do a "bend test" with my G3 and break it in half in a second.

The Consumer Reports test was the only one I found where it measures the force applied to the phone. I saw two different videos (the one on this thread being one of them) where someone tried to bend the Note 4. One bent and one didn't. Neither of these videos gave any indication of how much force was applied. The same is for practically every other video I saw on people trying to bend various phones.

With all of this publicity about bent phones, I would like to see Consumer Reports do a test on the Note 4. We already have their results for 6 other phones, so we can compare the numbers to see how the Note 4 fairs against those phone. I would also like for CR to test a number of other phones as well including the Moto X, Lumina and BlackBerry phones.

I just watched it, with no sound...and it looked like he didn't put any effort into it at all. I had to double take for a moment, I thought he was just trying to find a good position to place his thumbs, but he was supposedly "putting force" behind it. Sure didn't look like it.

Considering that the name of the channel is everything iPhone I would assume he would try to bend the note 4 lol maybe just maybe the note 4 is harder to bend?

Man at this point we need someone like Letterman to just pick this up and do a show where he gets someone to bend all these phones and comment on how much effort it took. It wouldn't hurt his ratings lol.

I don't see how it would be much different from the Note 3

Because Samsung went with a metal frame vs plastic I would figure that the results would be different when compared to the Note 3 be it bad or good. But just holding the Note 4 in hand feels pretty solid. And the design has more of that squared off build like the iPhone 5/5S so I would say just from looks and feel it’s pretty solid.

Just looked at the video and it does not appear that he was really trying hard. But man that white Note 4 looks better on video than in person. Just did not care for the color while at bestbuy.

With many of these videos, you cannot tell how much force is applied. At least the Consumer Reports video seems credible enough and they actually showed exactly how much force is applied with all of their tests.

Any channel that engages in these bend tests, I'll instantly unsubscribe.

In the same way I don't bother with "drop tests" vids, I won't bother with these either.

Artificially subjecting a device to abuse to make a point is pointless in my opinion, especially for someone like myself that always wears a case and screen protector.

Don't waste my time.
