Lucky Brits ! ;) Edge is not supposed to reach stores where I live...
I had to pick a standard Note4 instead, hoping Note5 will have an edge oriented design

Kind of expected but still mighty pricy. I'm not convinced by the edge - used one a good few weeks ago at a Vodafone launch event and was left cold by it.

€829 PAYG here on Vodafone - when you consider Note 4 is only €599 on PAYG with vodafone that €230 is quite a significant mark-up here.

Ironically the Alpha is €649 - so more expensive than the Note 4 too.

64GB iPhone 6+ £729.00 SIM-free.

False its £699

Still expensive of course. But no way i pay more for the Note Edge because it a has a novelty feature that left handed people can't even use.

Unless you have money to burn, buy a regular Note 4 and call it a day.

I quoted the carrier SIM-free price but sure, direct from Apple is a tad cheaper.
No way would I pay over £600 for a Samsung phone.

They must have dropped the price. Colleague paid £729 for the space gray with 64GB sim free from apple directly a few weeks ago.

Must've been overcharged or bought from a reseller. Its always been £699 since launch day.
