Galaxy S3 rated Best Mobile Phone in the World.

I tend to go towards what I personally think will be / or is the best technology/device at the time. Because of this, I made the move to the Galaxy S3 when it first came out (from iPhone 4), and boy was that a mistake.
I don't care whether the specs of the Galaxy were far superior to the iPhone 4 (which was my current phone at the time), there is something about Android that I really didn't like. That, and the poor build quality of non-apple devices.
So after using it for about 2 months and giving it the benefit of the doubt, I got myself an iPhone 5 and will never look back. I have made the mistake of leaving iOS and iPhones twice now (both for an android device), and both times, I have been thoroughly disappointed.
I don't care what they say, there is no way the Galaxy s3 is better than the iPhone 5 - and I have used both quite a lot!

...still the best for those that want a keyboard? Or for those that want 2 SIM slots? Or for those that want their phone to fit in the shirt pocket? Or for those that do not want a smartphone?
There is no THE BEST that fits everybody. I decide what's BEST for ME.
Oh really? Any comment about Apple's response to their very easily scratched device. Or how many of the phones are damaged right out of the box. Yeah, great build quality.
Yeah, what if it were the GS3 with the completely useless maps that is absolute garbage? Or what if the GS3 was one coming out of the box damaged and scratched so easily? And what if the review stated this and thus rated it in 3rd place? I'm sure you'd think the review was spot on.

Agree with the ranking given by Techradar, the Galaxy SIII deserves the top spot. The iPhone 5 is a great device but I don't think it manages to top the SIII as a whole and the HTC One X is also another great device that gives the iPhone 5 a good run for it's money, nice to see it ranked highly. I think the top three is quite accurate, those are definitely the top smartphones to get imo.
Well I guess we may as well never do any reviews for anything in that case. Forget car reviews, forget stereo reviews, forget TV reviews, I mean just forget reviews in general.
Bottom line, there is indeed a best overall. And when you see reviews like this, that's exactly what they mean, BEST OVERALL for majority of the public. And that doesn't mean the best for everyone. There are devices that do certain things really well, like how BB excels at communications (email management) and text but sucks at other things like web browsing. But then you have devices that do almost everything really well to amazingly like the GS3. So it performs better overall for most people.
I agree with you that we should make our own decisions as to what's best for ourselves. These reviews can help us in that decision. That being said, after getting some decent time with my buddy's iPhone 5, I can agree that it is bested by the Galaxy S3, which is the phone he bought after the iPhone 5. The Galaxy S3 just felt like a solid device, with just the right weight and thickness. The iPhone just looked comically tall and narrow. And it just didn't feel substantial or comfortable in the hand. It also just had a very fragile feel.

Sure can and should. Just compare features and compare strength and weakness, pro and con.
Tech...who? If this were done by cnet or someone else well known, then I'd be inclined to give it some merit. I'm not sure why everyone likes the Galaxy series though. The SII was good because of the battery, but that was it. There are better phones out there.
